How to use this overtime calculator

    1. Enter your hourly rate and total hours for the pay period.
    2. Set when overtime starts (often 40 hours/week) and the OT multiplier (often 1.5).
    3. Optionally add daily OT or double-time rules if they apply where you work.

    FAQ

    Weekly vs daily OT

Default mode uses a single period threshold (e.g. 40 hours). If you fill daily OT after, we also estimate OT from hours above that daily cap assuming even hours per day.

    Exempt employees

Some salaried roles are exempt from overtime. This tool assumes non-exempt hourly pay.
